Amy Norris, MM, NMT, NICU-MT, MT-BC, Director, received a
Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro and fulfilled her Master of Music Therapy with Florida State
University. Amy completed her internship at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare
before moving to the Atlanta area. She holds national board certification in
Music Therapy, certification in NICU Music Therapy, is a licensed
Kindermusik® educator, and she is a P-12 certified music teacher for the State of
Georgia . Amy received her Neurologic Music Therapy training at the Center for
Biomedical Research in Music and is a credentialed Early Interventionist. Amy is
a member of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia, the American Music
Therapy Association and the Kindermusik® Educators Association. Amy also
is a clarinetist with the Peachtree Symphonic Wind Ensemble.

Laura Roberts, NICU-MT, MT-BC, Associate,  graduated from
Georgia College & State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music Therapy.  
After completing her clinical internship at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, she
began her work here in Atlanta with Crescendo Music.  Laura holds national
board certification in Music Therapy and certification in NICU Music Therapy
which specializes in music therapy with premature infants.  She enjoys working with
a wide range of populations from the very young to the very old.  When not doing
music therapy, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a
musician.

Annie Meyer, CEAT, MT-BC, Associate,  received a Bachelor of
Music Therapy from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina and
completed her 6-month internship at The STAR Center, a center for individuals
with special needs, in Jackson, Tennessee. Annie worked at Georgia Regional
Hospital in Decatur, Georgia and  Central Regional Hospital, in Butner, North
Carolina, where she developed a music therapy program for the hospital, before
joining Crescendo Music. She holds national board certification in Music
Therapy and is a certified Creative Expressive Arts Therapist. Annie is a
member of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia and the American Music
Therapy Association.

Velene Burke, Associate, received her BS in Music Therapy in 2001 from
Utah State University. She has worked with young children since that time and
loved each one!  She worked for Allegrow! Music until 2004, when she began her
own family and own practice. She is married to a hard-working Australian Bull
Rider and has two adorable children, Brélene, who is four and Derry, who is 19
months. She remains a part-time musician to remain a full-time mom and loves both
her jobs. Besides her work with Crescendo Music, she has started Joy School
preschool for Bré and three other children. She does this 2x/week. If that weren’t

Katie Garner, Associate, received her Bachelor of Music Therapy from the
University of Alabama and completed her 6-month internship with the Fulton
County School System.
Katie is a member of the Music Therapy Association
of Georgia and the American Music Therapy Association.
