Meet our talented team of music therapists: 

Amy Norris, MM, NMT, NICU-MT, MT-BC, Director, received a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and fulfilled her Master of Music Therapy with Florida State University. Amy completed her internship at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare before moving to the Atlanta area. She holds national board certification in Music Therapy, certification in NICU Music Therapy, is a licensed Kindermusik® educator, and is a P-12 certified music teacher for the State of Georgia . Amy received her Neurologic Music Therapy training at the Center for Biomedical Research in Music and is a credentialed Early Interventionist. Amy is a member of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia, the American Music Therapy Association and the Kindermusik® Educators Association.  Amy also is a clarinetist with the Peachtree Symphonic Wind Ensemble.

Annie Meyer, CEAT, MT-BC, Associate, received a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina and completed her 6-month internship at The STAR Center, a center for individuals with special needs, in Jackson, Tennessee. Annie was a music therapist at Central Regional Hospital, in Butner, North Carolina, where she developed a music therapy program for the hospital before joining Crescendo Music.  Annie is the Internship Director and a music therapist at Georgia Regional Hospital in Decatur. She holds national board certification in Music Therapy and is a certified Creative Expressive Arts Therapist. Annie is a member of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia and the American Music Therapy Association.

Katie Garner, MT-BC, Associate,received her Bachelor of Music Therapy from the University of Alabama and completed her 6-month internship with the Fulton
County School System. Katie is a member of the Music Therapy Association
of Georgia and the American Music Therapy Association.

Ashley Swanson, MT-BC, NMT, Associate has been practicing as a Board-Certified Music Therapist, Neurologic Music Therapist, and a Licensed Kindermusik Educator in the Metro-Atlanta area for four years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens University of Charlotte with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Therapy.  Ashley completed her music therapy internship at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, in Wilmington, NC. Ashley plays the flute, guitar, piano, and sings. When she's not using the guitar or piano for a music therapy session or music group, you'll find her playing the flute in the Dunwoody Baptist Church Orchestra as well as singing in the Contemporary Praise Choir. email:  ashley@crescendomusictherapy.com
